Frostbite Vs. Solid

but is frostbite more effective when it comes down to slow rate?

from my personal experience id say its not... and it barely does more damage than solid when you are not an ice mage.

so what do u guys think? way too often when i played, people would only attempt to slow me once with their frostbite... and then chase like idiots until its back up. all while you could just be spamming solid to multiply the slow chances!

so... anyone has mathcraft or something?

From my own experience, Solid is way more effective. Spammable, dot damage ( even thought it's almost nothing ... still some dot) and slow rate is hella awsome... like I said my OWN experience.

Solid is better for exactly the reasons you mentioned.

Ive also found solid a better icing skill, mainly cause i can cast it 2-3 times on the target, unlike frostbite.

On my ice Mage I could barely slow ppl with solid, only the 1s with the low resis, but frostbite was working like a charm..

I always used to combine between them... Start with impact then frostbite and then spam solid till I can use frostbite again

when ever ive used them, frost bite usually has a more effective rate of slowing down. this is in regards to one frostbite vs one solid. solid too does work but needs a bit of spamming. i usualy start of with a frostbite to slow, if that does not work, spam that sold for mass DOT whilst doing some decent dmg
