I am choosing between 33 Defence vs 18 Health bonus.

i agree, I'll explain why.

18 hp bonus correct? not health bonus?

Health bonus isnt just +18 to your maximum health, its a larger number.
but HP bonus on an item, is just adding 18 health to your maximum health.

so think about it.

18 health in ardream is about 1/10th of an r attack. You will never notice it. and like 1/30th of an r attack in CZ
I would definitly go with the armor bonus.

depends on what kind of damage you would get hit by.. AC wont have any effect on novas, but hp will help you survive against mages.. AC will help you survive against other classes tho.
