The best answer is +8 FP gloves and boots, +7 chitins the rest, no matter what class you play (sin or archer).

12 ac loss, 6 dex gain. I think that's a fair trade (2:1) compared to 50 ac loss and 15 dex gain.

I would never recommend full FP8 for anything, assuming this for ardream. Your effective HP regenerated with minor healing is much more the least damage you take. Kinda like how in new servers if you go to cz at level 35, nobody can kill you if you're spamming 720 hp pots. Minor healing works the same way. 60 HP healing doesn't seem like much until you realize how the lower the damage you take, the more effective the healing is.
