    What do these resistances actually do?

    i know that Magic resistance,decreases the Magic damage %

    magic resistance , decreases the damage as tomen70 said it , poison resistance decreases the damage of poison weapons like daggers , curse resistance lowers spells like parasite you will have a bit more hp not sure about that one tho.
