Malice and Torment - how exactly do they work?

Hi,

I am trying figure out, how exactly Torment and Malice work. But unfortunately at the moment without luck.
I thought, it will take 25%/30% of ac, but obviously it does not.

My character has naked 160 AC.
Malice: 160 - 25% = 120 but it has 98 AC (38,75%)
Torment: 160 - 30% = 112 but it has 85 AC (46,875%)

I tried decrease bonus from hp points, from level, from everything, but it never looked correct.
So thinking about - what exactly those debuffs do? Anyone knows?

which class you used?
if you are warrior dont forget about bulwark/evading skill in Defence
