    Default question about draining 10% and 5%...

    ok so here are some questions i've always wandered about

    1. drain isn't 100% successful? It can actually give hp instead of the -10% or -5% ?

    2. When draining felankor, and the health is really low, people say to use 5% first before 10%? Any reason why so? thanks

    Just tried to calculate the drain and if we take 100,000 hp for easy calculations it doesn't matter at all if u first drain 5% or 10% the endresult is 85,500
    And perhaps the unsuccessful drain is just the natural HP regeneration of Felankor.

    1 --- drain is 100% . it never gives hp sometimes you see hp going up cause prist are slow giving the debuff to the monsters.( they are noobs and debuff afther people use drain)

    2 --- if the hp bar didn't move it would not matter what you would use first but the hp moves, sometimes up when the monster gains hp sometimes down when people are attacking. in theory you should allways use 10% first but if hp goes up right afther you used 10% is a waste. but i think you can't time when hp is going up.

    I'll add something to question 2:

    Only reason, why people would want this is as @Sede stated. If HP regenerates right after first drain, second drain will take more HP.
    But in general I would always start with 10% drain for cases, when you are fighting with another party.

    Let's show some numbers (of course, it doesn't count with HP regeneration), but in ideal fight, let's assume, that enemy has 100 000 HP and there are only 2 parties. Each party has 3 assassins.

    First fight: party 1 will use 10% drains as first and then will use 5% drains. Party 2 otherwise.
    This also expect that both parties will drain in order party 1 - party 2 - party 1 - party 2 ... of course in real world, order could mismatch, but for showing numbers let's expect it as this.

    Round 1:
    Party 1 (10%) -> 100 000 * 0,90 = 90 000 == 10 000 damage
    Party 2 (5%) -> 90 000 * 0,95 = 85 500 == 4 500 damage

    Party 1 (10%) -> 85 500 * 0,90 = 76 950 == 8 550 damage
    Party 2 (5%) -> 76 950 * 0,95 = 73 102,5 == 3 847,5 damage

    Party 1 (10%) -> 73 102,5 * 0,90 = 65 792,25 == 7 310,25 damage
    Party 2 (5%) -> 65 792,25 * 0,95 = 62 502,6375 == 3 289,6125 damage

    Party 1 (5%) -> 62 502,6375 * 0,95 = 59 377,5 == 3 125,1375 damage
    Party 2 (10%) -> 59 377,5 * 0,90 = 53 439,75 == 5 937,75 damage

    Party 1 (5%) -> 53 439,75 * 0,95 = 50 767,76 == 2 671,99 damage
    Party 2 (10%) -> 50 767,76 * 0,90 = 45 690,99 == 5 076,77 damage

    Party 1 (5%) -> 45 690,99 * 0,95 = 43 406,4405 == 2 284,5495 damage
    Party 2 (10%) -> 43 406,4405 * 0,90 = 39 065,7964 == 4 340,6441 damage

    Party 1 overal: 33 941,927 damage
    Party 2 overal: 26 992,2766 damage

    And now let's do it opposite, party 1 will start with 5% drains and party 2 with 10%
    Round 2:
    Party 1 (5%) -> 100 000 * 0,95 = 95 000 == 5 000 damage
    Party 2 (10%) -> 90 000 * 0,90 = 85 500 == 9 500 damage

    Party 1 (5%) -> 85 500 * 0,95 = 81 225 == 4 275 damage
    Party 2 (10%) -> 81 225 * 0,90 = 73 102,5 == 8 122,5 damage

    Party 1 (5%) -> 73 102,5 * 0,95 = 69 447,375 == 3 655,125 damage
    Party 2 (10%) -> 69 447,375 * 0,90 = 62 502,6375 == 6 945,1125 damage

    Party 1 (10%) -> 62 502,6375 * 0,90 = 56 252,3737 == 6 250,2638 damage
    Party 2 (5%) -> 56 252,3737 * 0,95 = 53 439,75 == 2 812,62 damage

    Party 1 (10%) -> 53 439,75 * 0,90 = 48 095,775 == 5 343,975 damage
    Party 2 (5%) -> 48 095,775 * 0,95 = 45 690,99 == 2 404,785 damage

    Party 1 (10%) -> 45 690,99 * 0,90 = 41 121,891 == 4 569,099 damage
    Party 2 (5%) -> 41 121,891 * 0,95 = 39 065,7964 == 2 056,0946 damage

    Party 1 overal: 29 093,4628 damage
    Party 2 overal: 31 841,1121 damage

    So as you can see now, in both cases, party which started with 10% drains made more damage and so has more chance to get box in the end of fight.

    Of course in real fight, order can (and will) mismatch and if Felankor has last few HP, then difference will be much lower, but in general, party which will start with 10% has higher chance to make greater amount of damage in the end of fight (at least from my point of view).
