    LOL right....

so lets take Noel / Liam Gallagher (Oasis) for example, when the hell have you seen them in skinny jeans, womens hoodies and jet black hair with the fringe over one eye?

indie style is NOTHING like emo styles [/b]

lol was suppose to write that on this account, forgot to log danny out from when he was over earlier

I don't understand the whole Indie concept...

I mean, it stands for Independent music right? Bands that make their own style, don't classify themselves as punk, rock or anything, mix whatever they want, and keep themselves underground, making their albums on their own without labels comercialization. Correct me if wrong.

But, eventually, the whole underground concept stops being underground when the band gets well known, wich leads them to accepting recording contracts, big tours, appearances on TV shows/Movies/Events, radio and, in a more clear way, MTV. So... there goes the whole Independent and underground concept doesn't it? And becomes even worst when other bands stop popping up with the same style/genre...

So, is Indie just a temporal clasification for bands that aren't popular, yet not close minded about what type of music they perform?

Personally, the closest to an Indie band I'm hearing right now is Gym Class Heroes, or at least they were indie. With all the publicity and popularity they have now, not sure if they remain indie or not.
