FAQ:

What will happen to my Apex Points?
Any remaining balance on your account that's been purchased from us is kept in its entirety!
Furthermore, all Power-Up Store purchases (excluding vouchers) made after January 23rd, 2022 with Apex Points purchased from us will be fully refunded.


Will you have an open beta?
Yes, we will be holding two beta weekends; a farm and PK one.
April 29th ~ May 1st will be the PK-focused one.
May 6th ~ May 8th will be the farm-focused one.

Will I need to download a new client to play?
No, once BETA is online you will be able to download a patch through the launcher.
A fully patched, up-to-date client will also be available through the website.

Wow, you've got your progression sorted out already, are these phases final?
The phases provide you with a general guideline on what to expect this server.
While we intend to follow through on the provided timeline, changes will be made as we see fit.
In total, there are 13 phases, the remainder will be disclosed as the server progresses.
NOTE: This information will be released after the first beta weekend!

What's different compared to before?
A lot! We've spent quite some time reading and re-reading all of your feedback made over the past 7 years.

I want to play Kurian, can I?
No, you cannot. Kurians will be disabled on this server.

Can I invite my friends to play here?
Yes, you can, and you should - the more the merrier!

We've prepared 13(!) phases in total - ensuring fun for everyone the whole year round!

Haven't been around KO for a long ass time, got a random email about the server, thought i'd check the post as this would of likely brought me back to play KO, then saw that its basically just a PK server like the last launch, no idea why you guys don't make an actual farm server, i know so many people who still would come back and play after 5 or more years of not playing if this was a full farm server, i remember last time everything was launched way to quick, like after a month new content was added, mistakes were made, how will be different from the last launch?

Could you elaborate on what makes you think the upcoming server is a PK server?
It's a full-on farm server, with level & item upgrade cap increases, as well as expansions.

Are you perhaps confused with the beta that'll run this weekend?
This weekend's beta is a PvP beta, which is followed by a farm beta (May 6 ~ 8) - and official (which is also farm) on May 13.

What do we have for you after phase 4? Phase 5 to 9 of course!

I remember playing it full time on the last launch, maybe i'm wrong but on the last launch, it was said to be farm, but ended up being pretty easy to get anything, the market was flooded with shards, raptors etc and turned into a PK server, events were released to early, the leveling was way to easy, people would just reach end content of that patch and walla new events would ruin the previous market etc, i actually went back to find my previous post from playing here, can you express how things have changed from the previous wipe? because the last launch was a mess. even stonecold put his input in on the previous wipe, i'd like to play here again, as this was my last experience of KO but i'm not coming back to find the same problems, no offence but you guys never listened to the community from day 1 of the last wipe.

I understand - we've tuned things based on the feedback from last launch (and previous servers); A summary of the most important changes can be found here

Leveling is not something most people prefer to be doing "the old way" from what we've been able to gather, so unfortunately this server will be even less to your liking on that front. The rest, should hopefully be addressed - do point out if we've missed something (the list isn't an exhaustive one).

I'd also like to point out that 'events being released too fast' eventually turned into new content <not> being released fast enough eventually (and I'm really the only one to blame for that one). What contributed to the feeling of events being released too fast was the fact that turn-in rates for Juraid Gems / Bifrost Fragments was too high, these issues have also been addressed this time around.

All in all, I myself am really pleased with how things are setup now - after having ironed out the big issues that occurred during last launch.
It's in the community's hands during the beta as we speak, but so far we've had very little negative feedback - if you have time this weekend (or the next), I'd like to encourage you to check it out - genie is enabled and free at the moment (and as it is PK beta, you start at 83!), so it should require little to no effort on your part to see if rates are to your liking
