    Since I don't remember my infos on ApexKO forums, nor do I feel like intervening in your highly intellectual conversations around the ApexKO forums, I will reply here. Lightning damage does indeed cancel skills in 99% of the different versions of KO. In 12xx, lightning damage cancels every mage skill with a 100% success rate, but after 15xx they fixed it and it's a bit more random, but it still does work as a cancelling mechanic. In 19xx it was greatly reduced for AoE skills, but lightning staff and some other single target skills can still have this effect.

    In 19xx the 33 AOE skill still does cancel casting skill randomly.

    From what I gathered, there was a discussion about it being overly high rate of success, but I don't know. Maybe people just aren't used to the newer version?

    Nope, SkyHunter and co. were crying saying that mage damage should never cancel a heal (assuming the damage doesn't apply a stun).

    I was part of the group that said the cancel rates were too high but it was still functioning like it should, just at a much higher rate than intended, but in typical SkyHunter fashion he would rather spend his time attempting to insult you and tell you that you have a mental illness than actually provide evidence that he is correct in his argument.

    Hmm. Well depending on the actual situation it might be slightly flawed because heals are the hardest thing to cancel with novas. If it happens very frequently, it might be an actual bug. Especially when priests have a somewhat difficult job at dealing with mages and timing their heals. I don't know how it works in ApexKO right now so I can't really tell.

    Oh it definitely is/was a bug, I don't think anyone is disputing that, however the argument was that nova damage SHOULD cancel heals, just not nearly as frequently as they actually do on Apex.

    There was a bug with flame novas canceling as well; not just lightning, which is what we were complaining about. Also, the people that I've talked to that still play USKO to this day are saying that novas shouldn't cancel the heal on this version anyway, so I don't know tbh.

    I think the misconception is because resistances are so damn high on USKO that its pretty impossible to cancel with elemental damage even though it is technically possible it almost never happens.

    I think there's a massive misconception in KO about resistances actually doing anything.

    Lmao true story, so many parts of KO are simply a mystery because nobody but the developers actually know what stuff does what, we just have to guess based on patterns :P
