Big patch was released today, further making it easier to join in on the fun!

Most notable changes (especially for newcomers) :
Chaos Stone bosses drop list revised; They now drop 2 Krowaz Armor materials at 100%, a guaranteed (good) old unique, and some of them drop the new Apexis Chest.
Winning Border Defense War, Ending in the top 50% of Chaos, and winning Forgotten Temple all get you the new Apexis Chest as well (some even reward 2!).

How does this make it easier for newcomers? Because of the contents of the new Apexis Chest which include Chaos Weapons (Ascalon, Hrunting, Aegis) (unupgradable, equivalent to Krowaz Weapons (+7) WITHOUT the curse), Krowaz Armor materials, and Rosetta Armor pieces (+1) (this set has the defense bonus of Dragon Scale, but the set bonus of Krowaz!)

So those new weapons are equal in power to krowaz weapons+7, they drop +0 and is not upgradeable?
