also we're going offtopic here anyway,but to say that win7 is obsolete is ridiculous. Microsoft is still working on it and supporting it,backporting dx12 to it just proves the point. Anyway,its not the windows issue,probably soacs or antivirus related,like in my case,disabling windows 10 defender solved the issues,game was freezing and stuttering and now is absolutely fine. There is always a solution.

Exactly. Finally someone who understood what I meant by everything.. Sheldon and his brother are confusing microsoft support to the news about hardware manufacturers stopping providing patches to windows 7. They are different things , if you have existing windows 7 with PC that had support for it, then you are able to get all windows patches till 2020.

Windows defender had issues in windows 10 home only, never on pro or at windows 7 or 8. It's soacs 100% , because it has had issues in everything past these many years.

This however isn't SOACS related issue, if it would be, it would be for majority having windows 7, he is an anomaly and you see other users playing on w7 normally. The only one being aggressive is you, without really giving any benefitial feedback for any party and you are just trying to cause useless drama.

What he wants to do with the info provided is up to him, nobody is forcing him into anything, we simply asked questions to help him find out what the issue might be, slowed down mouse cursor is certainly not something to look into from our side.

I've encountered slowed down mouse cursor on other SOACS and non-SOACS servers before and the issue was caused when I had a monitor and a TV connected together with different resolutions.

I can only assume it has something to do with soacs, because no other server has lagged for anyone I know in windows 7. Even STKO runs on windows 2000 so don't put the blame on windows 7.

Nobody is bashing windows 7 directly, but the driver support updates have already been stopped long time ago for Windows 7 by majority of brands, having up to date software updates is important and if not it can cause issue and you cannot argue about that.

2020 is just 8 months away as well, that's sooner then you'd think, you're saying like "2020" is 5 years away.

If it is 1 person having that issue on that specific OS combination, with hardware still unknown, then yes, I would have to say it's something on his end, it would be naive to say otherwise or it would generally apply to everyone from windows 7, so I see no harm in giving suggestions.

Fair enough.. I will give you that much. However your brother legit just said on previous page how trash windows 7 is (not in exact words.... but yeah he meant it) and he should upgrade to win 8 or higher. I already said above that most manufacturers have stopped providing patches to windows 7, but if you have existing PC with default windows 7 and latest driver installed (which I do) I can still run KO with max fps on max graphics, the drivers dont have to be up-to-date... I haven't touched a driver for fucking 6 years and I can run most games on high graphics with 100 fps... Most drivers released are either beta, or specific fixes for specific games.. they dont do much in general.

Anyway just get back to the topic already, and best of luck with the server. i am done arguing about windows 7. Win 7 -> everything above is trash.

To say they don’t do much in general is easily one of the most retarded statements you have wrote. Maybe I did a bit overkill saying the updates don't do much in general, but mostly they are just beta drivers for long time, which you shouldn't update just because it is out there. Well i tried 2 days ago, was pretty stale. Was like 8 orcs in cz. Seemed to much hassel to try to get better gear for like a few ppl in cz

As someone with numerous issues with soacs in the past, I can tell you that sometimes even win 10 will have issues running soacs and a random windows update may solve all your problems.

12xx version SOACS is much more sensitive than the 19xx version, 19xx SOACS is pretty decent compatibility wise and much more improved from it's lower version, nonetheless SOACS informs you in soacs.log when the issue seems to be related to the anti-cheat itself
