imcoolz was saw on my old server that 1 guy was donating to the server, he think i have scammed him but he allready got paid back that all.

ontopic, im having a technical issue. my antivirus isnt blocking ko or anything relative to it, i downloaded the client from here

it extracted fine, it updated fine, but when i click start after running the launcher, Launcher.exe dissapears from task manager and knightonline.exe shows up briefly, then dissapears. the program closes itself. any suggestions? here's my server ini file's contents.

~Edit, when i run the knightonline.exe file without running the launcher i got an error message for about a quarter of a second. i screenshotted it so i could read it, and it reads "Ko Guard Update Not Available" ... i'll try reinstalling it and double check that my AV isnt messing with anything.

~Re-Edit Got rid of the koguard updating error by allowing it in my AV and reextracting the knight online zip file.. still cannot get into the game. i read through the completely broken english guide posted by Bar which did absolutely nothing for me. he actually suggests using compatiliity mode on a windows xp machine, and setting it to windows xp service pack 2. if you're ON a windows xp machine, you only have 95, 98, 2000 and windows nt4.0 so.... hm. Most i've been able to get is running the knightonline.exe directly, resulting in koguard's update thing scanning files, then nothing happends. a lingering seemingly inactive process called KGUpdate.exe runs for a while then closes.... the hell am i supposed to do?

~Edit 3 I think I'm just going to have to give up trying to play this godamned game. every time a "good" server comes around i fuckingwell miss out because of some really weird issue that there's 0 tech support for. take oldschoolko for example. every time i logged in it banned my character saying i was speed hacking. make a new account, make a new lvl 1, bam, banned again. this server wont even let me open the fucking client. why cant you people just make something that works, or atleast help troubleshoot when it doesnt?

it isnt a problem that you can fix it by your self, it a problem with the client itself, s1ns will talk to you and will solve it for you.

That... doesn't seem right. if its a problem with the client itself, wouldn't he have to release a patch that fixes it? it just seems foolish to say "it isn't something you can fix yourself, but he can fix it for you" considering the most he could really do short of a patch is tell me to change some settings on my end etc. ... but I'll wait and see, should be an interesting answer if nothing else.

Not only was i reasonably polite (more than i can say for most of this forum) i didn't "Complain" at any point. I just said if it is a client based issue, how would he be able to help me without changing the files in the client itself. Please learn to English better, Jammin.

I think (and hope) what NoOneCanStopMe meant to say was that s1ns would check it out and help you figure out why it's not working, so that it can be fixed (for everyone). Reading anything more into that's just looking for trouble.
