Which client/server version is this? Those notices in the screenshots are disturbing; they'd only be showing like that if someone forgot to set the source ID to -1... in unofficial files? Unless it was done deliberately *for* the name -- instead of just reformatting the notice? Bug or 'feature?'

Even 1.397 (being 1.310 officially) shouldn't be doing that natively. ;o

i guess he change the text type to normal chat / party chat type - sending name first then text but kept the color type at notice style.
i did it 1298 back then also.

That makes no sense; the colour's set by the chat type. If you changed the chat type, you'd have to change the corresponding colour... which would change (for example) the party chat colour for all users. Unless you were to use a custom client for your GM, but that makes no sense because it'd only show the "correct" colour for your GMs (as I said, that makes no sense).

I'm probably misunderstanding what it is you actually did...

you have the chat type - set the color output, but u also have "output style" or what even to call it heh - if to just send the text or just the player name : "text' etc.
in this case he changed the default style from "text" to name:"text"
so when a GM use /notice it will apear as (name: --server resource-- "text")

So essentially you're just saying what I originally said then; the server logic was (deliberately) broken -- it's been tweaked to send data that it shouldn't be.
I find it ugly personally (make more sense to include the name within the notice itself), but I guess it's just a matter of preference and simplicity.
