This server is nice, had problems but they are fixing them. Needs a higher population and good to go. BTW was up with these kids screaming server fail server fail get the Fuck out of here.

It's easy to blame the owners, but some community members are more to blame than the owners. But you're right, some people didn't want him to succeed, just like some people don't want aristona to make new servers, it happens. Atleast he kept trying and things are stable now, only the population could use a boost. People believe it will get better, and I'm also hoping for it.

I've seen shitloads of people making posts like "this server sucks, don't bother, fail server, come to ko-tastic" on other private servers their topics... Also other servers their forums were flooded with stuff like this. Some of the ko-tastic players were really respectless and provoked others too much. Heck I even know some players who ddos'd other servers or requested people to do so which ofc lead to action -> reaction events. Pointless.

Provoking people is never a good thing, especially when you can never 100% stop ddos attacks. Sure it helped to track and fix some exploits, but it also caused a lot of problems if you ask me. I'm sure there would have been fewer attacks if some players had shown a little more respect towards other server-owners/players.

Anyways, nothing we can change about it. Let's focus on the future and hope things start to get better from now on. The server is stable, it's up to the players to bring their friends and make the population grow. Exp below 55 has been made easier so it's not that hard anymore to catch up.

You were the one that publicly accused me of hacking your server (which you're all too eager to pass off as someone else's it having not even lasted 20 minutes and all). What have I done? Really, tell me - the way I see it, I posted a few ponies to lighten up the mood whilst your server was continually down, and rejected your help requests because you could've fixed it yourself by assigning permissions to your server properly in the first place.

That's funny, because you explicitly blamed me for sabotaging both Aujard and my login server. Can you even make up your mind? -_- Just accept you stuffed something up, and quit blaming others for your own mistakes.

As for the server, it has far from failed. It's continuing on - very stable now - leveling has been made easier for lower levels to help new players catch up, cheaters are virtually a non-issue, and we're getting the word out to try and help boost the population again. Thanks to the devoted player base, I think it's going fairly strong - it can only get better.

A server which is a failure would be one which was given every chance to succeed and do well, but did not utilize those opportunities. KOTastic on the other hand, was presented with many obstacles, which many other administrators/community may very well have buckled under because of the pressure. At the present moment we have overcome impediments, and quality wise, the server is operationally one of the best.

Because of the impediments, quite alot of people have left, many of these are people who would have left at some point or another closely after the release. People who do not feel the server is satisfactory are doing it a dis-service by surrounding it i negativity. Constant barradgement and attack on the servers quality gives an impression to people that it is failing/a failure* is dead, when rather this is just an emotion people feel towards what has happened. This negative energy creates a negative expectancy amongst players, even though it is mostly imaginary. For KOTastic to "get back on its feet", the negativity will not help. You may note that the online server population 150-300 is actually higher than most private servers.
