For first kanka myko server with 70cap CANT HAVE UPGRADE to +9/10 BECOUSE ITS TOTAL RETARDED AND TOTAL UNBALANCED lol with trina on your server its like 9% to +9 and 6% to +10 hehe so it's a lot..trust me that even md+9 with 109ap is so f4king op..nowadys people like hard upgrade to +8 cuz even rap+8/shard+8 with fully gear and uniques +1/2 make them beasties with dmg especially when someone is maliced/torrmented hehe so gl for you ^^

FWIW, opening up some sections for public access is a good thing. For one, it helps crawlers find you. And gives lurkers who wouldn't ordinarily register (I don't think anyone wants to register purely for news/announcements anyway?) more of a chance to check your forum out, and possibly register if they feel the need. As opposed to... just leaving the forum and forgetting it ever existed.

If you want people to read your news, make it accessible!

That's my take on it, anyway.

Anyway... that said, which PUS were you using and which security concerns were they? Most servers are using my PUS, so if it's mine, I'd really like to know what issue you've discovered with it.

Assuming this is just a standard chat client? Possibly even using an existing protocol, like IRC.
It doesn't actually send clan chat in-game does it? Or does it? I can think of a few fairly easy ways to implement that with their existing backend comms.
