To be honest OSKO was down alot of times, but still 2ed or for me first the best server- YourKO wasnt down anytime, i played 2 of theirs servers from stat for like 2 months, and they had alot of ppl so they must have been DDOS'd. but well not idea how come they didnt go down. Still im waiting for Legacy to go up :P need xp

@ SellingShitake and zuka: Outkast just tweaked a couple things in my PC. If it helps ill let you know, perhaps it can help you too since we experience somewhat the same issue.

Kast will get it fixed. If he's fixed it once, he can do it again.

You have to keep in mind this is only a very very small server. Compared to a government server who has millions of dollars to budget. Outkast doesn't have that kind of resources to pull from. So far he has done an excellent job with what he has got and hopefully will not disappoint us.

Depends on the size. For example Legacy might be getting ddos'd from about 5000 ip/computers, a federal website or SONY for example received about 50 million different

guys, how come OSKO isn't getting DDOS'd then?

I was there when they launched their original server, part of the staff as spanish forum mod. They went down a lot. In fact, you couldnt even log in when they brought it up since you had to WTF SPAM connect for hours (much worse than what happened in Legacy). This went on for like a week if I remember correctly.

Prof had to spent the big bucks on buying his protection. After doing so his server was ok. This was years ago, DDOS is even more "available" now and for some one that knows the "dark side" of the web. It wouldnt take much effort to set up DDOS attacks.

Hmmm makes you think right ? This guy knows a lot about DDOS, and his server lost a bunch of players to Legacy... its just sad that this shit happens. Servers cant compete solely on quality, they have to do this crap. Its very sad, I doubt that TheKnightOnline Turk server is doing this, they have shit load of players allready, they probably arent even interested in having English speaking players, so I wonder who is so devoted into taking Legacy down ?

Servers owners need to learn how to inform their users of what's going on, I know you're busy but it literally takes 1 minute to do as much, and it'd put a lot of people at ease.
