Unless you are a networks analyst and know a bunch about how botnets work? Why do you bother replying? It won't cost 5,000$ did you just pull that out of your hat? No, DDoS cannot be fixed, it can only be filtered so much. His idea of proxies should be fine and I am hoping it will work. Don't come into a topic and say it will cost this much for it work blah blah when I doubt you have a clue.

Your missing the point. Knight online is not some game like Wow where you can do shitload of quests each day etc.
Do you start 3 days later after a server launches? No , you wanna start at day 1.

The same for when server go up, its THE POINT of knight online to run bowl for bosses that spawn once every X hours. Or try to take the best xp spots first with your party.
