This is a discussion on LegitKO [Closed Beta] within the Private Servers forums, part of the Knight Online (ko4life.com) category; EXP quests would make sense but this isn't EXP server. Quests are a total boredom. In KO at least....

    Your last servers have failed. By failed i mean is no longer up and running. and they got ddos'd to hell and you couldnt keep it up.

    Why should we waste our time on this server? - you tell me :P

    I summed this up once already, CHILLKO was not my server. It was 'Sicks', I only helped manage it and GM, nothing more. I will quote myself once more...

    Well we've decided that they're gonna be a PK quest meaning when you kill someone it'll drop a quest item, and no it won't be abusable like on other servs :P

    It's just the thought of how I'll set the exchanges up etc.

    As for farm quests, I can do those it's just... what for specifically :P

    How are you going to prevent people from killing newbie characters in some random corner just to get this quest item? and then swap turns... unless you're going to 'log' the actions and write small tool ( maybe? ) to spot the obvious sprees.

    To clarify, it'd be a whole lot riskier if they couldn't just trade over the gems from alt chars/accounts. They'd have to do it with their main.
    Quite the deterrent.

    Though, that still leaves the whole NP transferring issue... but at least the gems aren't such a huge deal.

    It prevent people abuse it with multi-clienting, but what stops two friends logging in turns and kill each other?

    Main negative reason: It will be unfair for classes like int priest =p
    Of course some players who'll choose to play a "defending" character, will be in a clan with friends and they'll create parties often. But, what about the rest ?
    To conclude, making the item un-tradeable, will give a boost to the rogues(mostly), paper mages, bp's, warriors. Some people will form parties and it'll be okay, but, some others won't.

    You can 'risk' it, but, yeah..i hope you get what i mean.

    I'd list you more reasons, but, i guess this is the main one.

    Uhh, like USKO it'll equally give out rewards to all in the party. Priests and all.

    And therein lies the one problem I really did not want to think about. ;_;
