So effectively they're a lot closer than they appear, but you don't see them there yet (either that or it's the inverse, confusing).

    Otherwise, if it's 1.9xx -- just means they're not making use of the other position (client's current position as of the movement update) in the client packet which solves all of this confusion. >_<
    Well, my issue was not related to distance, I just reported it poorly. I actually could find a range where it "started attackin" (and even from far it still ran to target and started whacking) but made no damage, just attacked on my screen but not on serverside. All my problems fixed when I upgraded my OS. Acme had some trouble recognizing my older 64 bit OS properly, with my new WIN 8.1 all is well.

    I guess people had green chests stacked and they opened the drops on server restart while ago.

    well there wasn't any notice about FT items and I doubt turks just tried to exchange those chests to see if they may drop uniques something is fishy here

    The thing is, exactly that would happen if you were out of range server-side. That is, attacking client-side because the client sees you in range, but not being able to attack server-side because the server doesn't see you there.
    The only way I can see your upgrade fixing it is if ACME was for some reason blocking the attack packet from sending at all -- but absolutely nothing else, which sounds rather unlikely to me (doubly so because doing so would break the packet sequence check, but I doubt OSKO bother to verify the sequence). More likely you just aren't noticing it as bad, possibly even because it was a temporary lag issue (that would exacerbate the movement problem) that's since been resolved?

    Installing a new OS just doesn't make sense -- either as a general solution (wtf should you reinstall your OS for a private server?), or as the real reason for why it (appears) to work fine now (I'm hesitant to say 'resolved', because of what razor said).

    This whole boss thing is lame. My husband and I can't even get a chance because they are on a timer that the 1 and 2 top clans have already figured out and they all show up and kill everything in seconds. These couple of clans are getting so strong and leaving everyone else behind (item wise). Can't the bosses spawn randomly???

    Archer's damage is pitifully unreliable. How can I kill someone when I'm hitting 800-400-350-600-500-750? Even a fucking paper mage can outpot me. It was very frustrating.

    Ice shot having a tad too high success rate has nothing to do with the class' damage capabilities. If anything the slow rate is needed because otherwise they're below F tier when it comes to being a threat on their own. No other class has such a low kill potential when roaming solo. Even Ice mages can spam 120+280 (Blade damage obviously too high) for some reason.

    Actually I could not start the client at all after the latest ACME updates, that why I said ACME propably had troubles with my OS (I had problems with acme in the previous launch also, and many others with older OS seem to also have ACME problems).

    The r-attack problem was not a temporary issue, I could not r-attack at all, from the beginning of the server, so lag was out of the question (I think you got too hung on with the "too far explanation", client allways says that on the info box if you start the attack from a far, that does not mean the attack is failing, then you just run to target and attack starts when on range).

    Anyway, it was past time to upgrade my OS anyway. I agree that upgrading an OS for a private server is not a solution, I had just been lazy to get rid of my WINXP (no more updates & support) and had the new OS on a DVD just waiting..

    Agree, the places are random now, but the timing should also be random, it shouldn't be hard to fix. This is a must thing for CZ bosses, it sucks that bowl is empty 90% of the time and only for 10 minutes of bosstime it's active. Some might enjoy raiding bloodseekers all the time, but I would like a real fight and challenge from time to time.

    Yea, they really need to make a notice if they change something like that, people might start using chests when they see others having drops, but there were too many drops to my liking. I hope admins check this thing, just to be sure.

    This is exactly my point though; it merely "failing" in the sense that the server sees you too far away, so the attack doesn't go through. Like you said, it does nothing -- until you're in range.
    If the server doesn't see the client at the same position the client does, it makes absolute sense that it'd fail simply because you are going to be out of range since the server doesn't necessarily see you near enough to your target to allow the attack.

    Half the problem, I think, is that you generally have a higher tolerance for what you perceive to be 'normal' behaviour, when it's really... not...

    You could be right, but I find it equally impropable that my serverside position is wrong for 2 months. I re-installed & patched client multiple times to different folders, even took everything from registry, tried proxy, tried multiple accounts & classes with long weapons against all size targets from every angle to no avail.

    The only thing that has changed is my (rare & old) OS (which had multiple problems with ACME) and now everything is working. I admit that a lot changes with changing operating system and that I might have missed and misunderstood something.

    I don't know what skills are you talking about, i got raped alot by one archer comboing me down on close range. Every single arrow cancels my heals/duffs.

    What's wrong with your archer then? SexAbuser was soloing for ages with archer and got shittons of kills.

    I have always considered archer as a support class.

    hes talking about single arrow that may hit target from 350 to 800 dmg and it should be equal each shot, for example spam 600
