Without customers, no business ever succeeds (didn't read most of that wall of text btw). No matter whether it's Sony or "GoodGame", it's still a paid service. You are bringing anecdotal evidence to a hard fact discussion... don't know why.
All your post basically tells me is to tilt down my head and accept mediocrity because well... this isn't Sony and this has happened before, so it is therefore justified and I should've known better! Sorry but I can't accept that.
Edit: I read back some more, and your example sucks again. I never said the product was shit, and I'm not in line to buy it because it's not a one time purchase, it's more like a membership that I've already taken. That's not something you can just drop after you've put time and commitment into it.
