Eh, I don't think it makes a difference one way or other. I'm quite sure the elemental damage doesn't even actually work in 12XX.

Edit: It only works with R attacks and melee attacks that include elemental damage.

i guess its aint problem if non mastered mage can use it,good enough if those rings are just for mages
