Knight Online-Common issue's (FIXED)
Hello people,
recently i got so many people that are having so many issues with ko, by logging in, or not starting. so hopefully i will might be able to help you all! (can also work on usko)
so let's start?
the first issue that everyone getting is the false virus on exe and then it delete it, and you need re download the client or make your antivirus on your exception list (be careful cus sometimes this "false viruses might be able to be real"
so my solution for this 1 is this:
1st: delete your current antivrus, i am sure that most of the antiviruses are idiotics no matter what ppl say to you, they cause only troubles!
2nd: download this antivirus (safety first) : Download Microsoft Security Essentials from Official Microsoft Download Center
after you delete your antivirus make sure to install this 1, this antivirus is the best 1 i ever used, it actually detect for me (on ko) if the knightonline.exe is actually a virus or no, and after i check if the ko.exe has an actualy virus or no you may allow it through the antivirus (in most of ko, you wont need to do it at all)
second solution: in most cases of 18xx/19xx/20xx versions of ko's you will need to turn on DEP on, why? i dont know, but i do it :P
how to do it?
right click my computer
advanced system settings
go to advanced tab
on the first option (on perfomance) click settings
go to data execution prevention tab
turn on the dep and add the ko exe only
after you done it, restart your pc (you will have to do it once, at the second time you wont need it!)
still didn't work? no worries there is still solution!
right click on your current ko.exe and select properties
go to compatibility tab
select run this program in compatibility mode for: select windows xp service pack 2, aswell run as admin (if needed do on launcher aswell)
still didn't work?
