Can't say as to what he meant exactly, but put it this way... We're going to do our absolute best to get it ready for live by the 23rd. Unfortunately, KO is a horribly-coded game and, to be completely honest, if you try to solve the bugs logically, the game only gets buggier. Thankfully, most of the bugs have been resolved, now we're just left with the stubborn bugs that refuse to be fixed, lol.
I, personally, don't like saying that something is set in stone especially when it comes to giving dates. Developers are working day and night to meet the deadline which is January 15th for Open Beta and January 23rd for release; however, when January 15th and/or January 23rd comes and the game isn't still where we want it to be then you can bet that the date will be pushed back until we feel comfortable and enjoyable by everyone. Is this something we would like to do, pushing back the release day,? Of course not, and we hope that it won't come to that.
Another thing is that, like Shurt mentioned, Knight Online is a very crappy coded game with very illogical structure and when you try to fix something by going deeper, you just end up getting more lost and confused.
I think it's fair to give the developers as much time as they need, even if it takes till like February 1st. As said, it's better safe then sorry. And on another note, you will be in BETA, so you will have something to do while waiting for the actual release.
ya... its better to open the server perfect without any bugs.. even if it will take long time
as long as beta still goes on, ppl will have somethign to do and waste time on. just make sure the release is as close to 100% as possible, regardless of time

Some advice, if you mention a date when you're hoping on releasing it, release it then. If you do the same as SnoxdKO and OblivionKO or the server will fail badly like these 2 servers will.

lol...quit crying. If you put more time in, you get more out of the game. Have you even stopped to think that these "nerds with no life" spend a lot more time playing the game, so they spend more on premiums and knight cash and help support the server more than someone who logs in 1 hour a day and buys a stack of scrolls every other month?
