Stop whining. Was the buffer class scrubbed when scrolls went up in the PUS? It's already been fucking said x1000 times the scrolls in sundries are going to be hard to obtain, no one is going to waste their money using them in exp or pk when their is a decent buffer in the party...
Eh I remember when a GM gave some of them out when myko was duped up by the chinese pricks. That archer pretty much killed the whole orc nation at war.
crying?
they are making the old ko, with hard exp/farming that is somewhat close to old ko..
yet they put all scrolls in sundries?
I dont really see the point.
In the end, buffers will be useless...swift and wolf from rogues will be useless.
but I guess time will tell.
In my oppinion, have 1000hp, 150ac in sundries for like 50mill each.
then have 1500, 300, wolf and swift in PUS.
thats a win win situation.
Don't give festo an archer for a gm, hes gna kill us all xD
the only thing that makes buffers useless (ignoring bless of gods) are FREE Scrolls. As soon as the Scrolls have some value ppl wont use them to exp, farm or even to sit in town.
That means every farm and exp party need a buffer and if we assume that it take a good while till the ppl are 70 and geared, which means that alot of buffers will run around the server.
But having SCs avaible on the server give party or even solo player the ability to PK or even Bosshunt without having a Priest. That benefit specialy the smaller clans that problably do not have a Priest online 24/7...
This will also increase the total number of ppl that can pk...
It doesnt matter if the sc are at Sundries or PUS or in both tho as long as the scrolls worth something.
Putting them into PUS and Sundries will give everyone the chance to get them, either through farming or through "donating/"babashopping". It will also give ppl to get ingame money through USD which will profit the server...
honestly if people are using scrolls for xp that they bought from the sundries and not PUS anytime in the first month id be VERY surprised. between the cost of upgrade scrolls, pots, repairs, etc i HIGHLY doubt anyone will have the money to buy from the sundries.
in the end, buffers are NEVER useless. maybe for pvp, but never for xp. people dont want to waste their money, whether usd or igc, on scrolls when they can EASILY just find a buffer. in fact, paying a priest to reskill would still be cheaper than scrolls.
lets do the math to prove it.
one buffer can keep an xp party buffed for easily multiple hours. we'll use 3 hours as the baseline for this.
Cost to reskill to buffer and back to whatever class they were before is 29m, each reskill, at lvl 62. roughly 58m total.
1 pack of HP scrolls-55m
1 pack of AC scrolls-55m
Total: 110m for 30 of each.
That breaks down to roughly 3.6m worth of scrolls per hour just for priest buffs.
Theres 8 people per xp party, so that 3.6m goes per person and equates to 28.8m PER SCROLLED PARTY PER HOUR. Xp for 2 hours? Now the total cost is up to 57.6m. 3 hours? Now you're up to 86.4m. And so on, for a max of 30 hours of XP costing 880m. Or you could have a dedicated buffer and save your xp party a lot of money, which could be better spent on upgrading.
i think ive thoroughly made my point that buffers are still very important, even with scrolls in the sundries. oh and all that math is assuming EVERYONE in ur parties can afford scrolls, and not just a couple of u in which case ud need a buffer anyway.
as long as scrolls in sundries are expensive and igc are hard as hell to get... then everything will be fine... players will prefer buffers over scrolls for exp
IMHO, I think scrolls should be more difficult to acquire, I mean they do destroy the buffer class for PvP, Rogues skip the support skill of swifting party... only scrolls of 1000hp and 150ac should be sold, sop that getting a buffer its considerable in PK, also for the undy.
