Linux compatibility ?

hi, i've successfully installed the client on Ubuntu 9.10 via Wine, however when i try to run the launcher, nothing happens (no error, just nothing)
from what i've learned by searching the forum, unlike the official KO, private servers used to work on Linux... so i'm interested, whether there's some problem on my side or if it's ko4life beta client issue

i don't feel like installing windows back, not even to a different partition, so i'd really appreciate any help; thanks in advance !

Kernel, Graphic drivers?
Try to run the client without launcher.. "/usr/asd/ko/knightonline.exe USA_knightonline"
Make sure if you run the game from console to enable the graphical output.
If wine1.2 fails try 1.0 or vice versa.
