People still town alot on 80%... for example if your a mage and you ice comet someone sucessfully with numbers, they will probably town.
If you don't want to die you need a good support mage, and if you don't want the enemy to town you need a good lightning mage... so ideally a support mage with lightning blade.

80% is worse than 60%.
There won't be a fight at all, people will just town when they see a force that is too strong for them to handle. Ko4life is suddenly a democratic institution? Put it at 60% if you want for someone to actually fight at all.

I would like to read some valid arguments on why it should be 80% not 50%. Almost 100 people voted for 80%, could you please say more than "i voted for 80% WOOOT!!11" ?
you guys forget that in the beta, it will be exp, every1 will have nub items, and people wont town right after they see someone, they will have to try him first, and if he is good, they will have less then 80% and wont be able to town....
i don't see any reason to cry about that.. seriouslly, if you see/think that there are too many enemies and you can't kill them, just don't go

Either 50% or no town at all.
Like people have mentioned, not being able to town under 80% hp means either: More fights, or no fights at all.
With town being 50% it'll go both ways faster, the 'OMG, THEY HAVE 7 PRIESTS, but let's try' Or when you are being chased by 30 people, getting that heal off that makes your hp go to 50%+ and you able to town, that's awesome too
2. Everyone will have nub items only for the first 2 weeks. After that the big and well organized clans will get the upper-hand, nothing bad about it, during this period it wouldnt matter if the % is at 80%, 90% or 10%.
Even at servers where its extremely hard to get a +8 weapon there Always have been guys who risk it and make it.
Take Zero from old school Ares period, for example, he was well geared for his time , without his gear he could not possibly had the chance to tank as much as he did. You can only heal up as much as your limits are, being the best in the universe wont change your mana/hp/def stats. His targets dropped like flies because of the difference in gear.
3. If someone sees there are too many enemies then he will town unless he is a sin who can run away. A warrior, a priest and a mage do not have the luxury of running fast. The only real class that would benefit from a change to 80% are sins, thus more sins will be made than any other class.
Getting jumped by several stealthed sins is Not fun.
Dieing is Not fun.
Losing nps in situations where you had no chance to do anything is Not fun.
Game becomes less fun for non assassin classes. To get more fun you either make an assassin or adjust your tactics - > more towning.
voted 60%, but rather have 50%, 80% screws all classes that aren't assassins. no soloing, and as a warrior/priest/mage, with one person on you, you can't even town, which is retarded.
I'm quitting because of this, because I don't want to be gimped in relation to a class which will already 3-4 shot me.
