What do you farm to get rare wep def armour?

i've never seen +8 defenses in usko D: (not counting the shell ones thta were gm'd) so i assumed +8s r usually gm'ed.

yeah its pretty rare to drop.. i remember there were only 1 known chitin wep def in bera.. (as far as i know) and it was owned by known babashopper (+6 rogue chitin helm 25 DD)

G had +8 spear plate boots, got em of either trolls or ravens if I remember right.

Drops from Balrogs, i remember they used to drop +8 rare weaps since the beginning of ROFD. Seen dropping an impact +8 with poison on diez.
