if u have a pole+6/7, then faun+7 coz u can switch to pole when u gotta tank and still stun priests... i'd say chaotic+8 if u dont have a pole and especially if u dont have iron set.

if possible, try to get an elysium 8....ive heard the difference between a ely 8 and faun7 arent great...especially when you consider the -70 defense

yea just as i said, as a mage u better have 2 staffs, pole in my view would be the better 2nd staff coz then u could use it while ur being atacked by many and u still gotta atack, and u would wear ur faun most of time to do dmg ( only worth buying faun if its kaul or aztec gold tho, chaotic+8 is better than undef faun ), if u dont have a pole then i'd still go for faun+7 and have a 2nd staff, even chaotic+7 if u cant afford chaotic+8 as 2nd staff.
