Default How to follow running targets especially mages

As a sin I am unable to fight mages who keep on running and attacking. Some tips to follow using mouse or keyboard would be fine.

Also I can't minor while following target with mouse and miss too many of my skills. I generally use my right hand for minor and when using the mouse unable to minor. Any tips would be useful.

Also suggest a skill bar setup for the same. lvl 59 btw.
    thx

firstly say bye bye to right click minor IMO, u can minor just as fast if not faster with the keyboard, not to mention that it causes you problem as holding right click can move your screen.

I remember having problems following targets and it was really annoying.

Anyways, what i suggest you do is:

    A) Stop right click minor and start using both hands to combo.
    B) To follow someone, just hold down "w", and keep doing "r" so it follows him, and when u catch up do the normal combo, skill rr (u can add more r's like do rrrr just u keep following him).
    C) Keep minoring with your right hand (or left hand? depends how your skill bar is).
    D) When you want to switch target, quickly put your hand on the mouse (right hand i assume), and while you try to select the target quickly bring your left hand (which is the comboing one) to start minoring (usually it's on like 6-7-8), so you never had a point in which you don't have your hand ready to minor.

    Just get used to it.

I'll add more if i think of more, kinda eating atm...

edit: you can keep HP pot on right click.

edit 2: When you get iced, CURE it, don't try to attack or anything, a slowed rogue is a useless rogue.

edit 3: I can give you my skill bar

    F1:

    1. LF
    2. Spike
    3. Thrust
    4. Peirce
    5. Cut
    6. MP Pot
    7. HP Pot
    8. Minor Heal

    F2:

    1. Lf
    2. Shock
    3. Jab
    4. Stab2
    5. Stab
    6. MP Pot
    7. HP Pot
    8. Minor Heal

And the other tabs for cures / wolf / ac go do yourself.

About which skills to use, here is the combo.

    F1: Spike, Thrust, Peirce, Cut
    F2: Shock, Jab, Stab2, Stab
F1: Cut, Peirce (Maybe? I don't remember if it is ready yet, I'm doing this from my memory... I think it doesn't)
    F2: Shock, Jab
    F1: Spike, Thrust, etc etc

This is like a full rotation of the skills, there might be other rotations, other skills bars, but this is mine.

If you fail one of them it might mess up the order, but this is the order if everything goes smooth. The best combo, is the one that you feel most comfortable with.

You dont even have to use your mouse IMO.. just press Z and select a new target (the one that is closest by your char)

Musht thx for your answer. However the problem with not using mouse is that like you said it is difficult to select the target. The second problem is when the target runs into an enemy group with like 5 hp left and you get stuck against another member of his team or some goddamn rock as R follows in a straight line. Third issue is that with the mouse I am instantly able to move my screen to any orientation which lets me watch out the nearby areas for threat and run for the safe area in case myself or my team gets heavily outnumbered.

I know what you are trying to say... it's annoying, but not much you can do I think.

The thing I hate the most is getting stuck when chasing someone.

you gotta shift your left hand to where you would minor, and your right hand to the mouse, just do a nice and easy and slow hp pot + a few minors till you got a nice solid straight line you can run in w/o obstacles/can guide yourself w/o the keyboard, then revert hands to normal position

lol what? thats just basic stuff switching from keyboard to mouse.

btw if your mouse is really sensitive, you can actually minor with it pretty well. i saw some guy do it a while back but i never tried it cuz i was already used to keyboard minor and such.

btw dont use hp pots if you dont have enough mana on your character. usually if u arent gear'd well enough on dcz then you should only use mana and minor.
