Elemental Damage on Wirinom & Baal

How are the elemental damage on weapons calculated?

If a character has more fire resistance, does that mean he would take less damage from Baal/HB/etc?

Just wondering why alot of people choose Baal over Wirinom because of the higher elemental damage..

Higher elemental dmg = Higher 'R' hits.

Also baal is better coz of the HP & MP bonus it gives and the high elemental dmg cover the AP lose.

baal = hp bonus + flame damage

so does flame damage > light damage given the same amount of resistence?

Im not so sure about that, but I dont think so, its just that Baal has more elemental, which make your R hits hit higher, and make the dmg almost (if not) the same as if you were using wriniom.

i think the resistances do matter for weapons, lets say the higher the flame resist the less damage u do with hb and baal on that person. that is why baal's ruin rogues cuz they only got LR from there rol's they got no FR.
