I too heard this piece of gossip on EUKO referring to the bombastic leonar. So, I tested it. I sat in the arena and had my friend tell me if his stats dropped when I hit him (because I was told it doesn't lower stats and often raised them).

Every time the skill went off his AC dropped.

So, I reported this to the guy who originally fed me this line. He then changed his story to, "Well, it only does it sometimes."

So, I took the bombastic leonar back to the arena and sat there for 20 minutes beating on my friend -- And every time his AC dropped.

So, I'd say it works.
