that&#39;s something i asked myself alot but i would have decided for the DV because i have enough resistances, dunno though. lets hear other ppl&#39;s opinions

My opinion is or lower lvls and dcz chd, for the fact that losing 8 health is not as much as losing that in high levels. Also in dcz the resistances are very handy.
On higher lvls a DV would rock, since -170 HP is nothing in lvls like 77-83.

well im a 80 rogue and i tested these daggers: chd+8 exc shard+8 shard+8 cleaver+9 never tested a DV+9...
Anyway also a rogue 80 lvl lose less HP with a CHD+8 (-8hp) then a DV+8 with 170hp less... 8hp at lvl 80 are about 150 / 160 health.
I now use dual Exc Shard+8 that i find way better because i do not lose HP and also the AP is great...
Well these are my AP stat with the daggers (only wolf):
- Exc Shard+8 + CHD+8 => 2295 attack power
- Exc Shard+8 + Shard+8 => 2290 attack power
- Exc Shard+8 + Exc Shard+8 => 2305 attack power
- Exc Shard+8 + DV+8 => 2340 attack power (i never tested DV anyway i did some math so it should be right)
Well if u want ap DV+8 is the best, i want try get it also maybe one day because u gain a nice +35 ap about and some rumor say that critical work better with it, is like if it have a self critical... well believe in this or not is a great dagger.

My advice is DV8

Personally i would prefer the gain of 7club defence + like 50(ish) HP and mana, 16 FR GR LR and 25element over 5 dex. That 25 element almost makes up for the 5 dex + all those other bonuses makes it better to go with CHD+8

But then again DV+8 is much schmexier imo.

I would have said dark vane but when you look at the stats side to side.... Five extra stats on dexterity isn&#39;t much, but thats only my opinion coming from a DCZ rogue. For higher levels with more stats on health, stay away from CHD //

both are great daggers for 2nd hand and i think u should choose like that you would get resists more.. and then when ure higher lvl and got resist go DV OR Dagger of player

well its like 5 dex against 25 elem more, 16 res, and 7 CD, ap whores would go for DV all others will pick CHD, not big science really in that. hp loss is basically the same, no matter what lvl ru, thats one myth only, higher lvls loosing more hp due to -8 hp, not true at all

higher lvls: CHD

Reasons:
-pretty similar HP loss
-Gives higher elemental, which kind of makes up for a loss of dex bonus
-Gives good resistances
-Gives Club Defence
-Looks pimp, chicks get turned on.

CHD of course. mostly because of the 7 club defence. 35 ap aint going to make much a difference. but the extra elemntal on chd can make up for it..+ the 7 club def will help against hb/ii/sh. also it has resists
