our rogue was a magetank with 106/106/126 baseresi's. it was excellent in wars cuz it drops stun/chill rates so much. magic shield on and with redball you get total res of ~310
back in topic offhand pd7>shard+8

id take pd & shard even tho pd has lower ap, it has resists, hp and it has dex bonus too which will make ur ap abit higher

really dumb question, pd7 will most likely give you more ap in offhand, and if it doesnt it will give you better overall stats either way. + you can sell the shard8 and get beter uniques/armor. or better main hand weapon.

facts pd+7 gives more ap in offhand then shard+8

the hp bonus / resit / dex bonus make quite up even in the mainhand for ap loss
i would pick 2x pd+7 over 2x shard+8 anyday

forgott to say in previous post.
At 70+ a pd +7 gives you more ap than a shard +8 in off hand+hp and ress.
I would go for the personnal dagger +7 anytime. Dual shards +8 on ares are= md +9
