Atm, I'm Chitin BP but maybe I'll go back to support priest for few weeks, so i wont change my ROCs to ROLs, actually, I wont change any of my uniques, I'm just wondering if what's better:
AC on Chitin or HP on Full plate
P.S. I have both sets so I wont lose any coins on buying stuff, only on reskill/restat

+ add in mind that there are 25+ warriors/rogues with +9 shell sets and +9 Unique/normal weapons, so they hit pretty damn hard, no matter of cs and high defence...
would take the chitin armor
for more ac ........
Just calculated with KODB, 15 points into HP is not worth losing 103 AC
So if it is Chitin +8 vs FP +8, I would go for Chitin +8.
However since this is Ares
Can't you go for FP +9/HP then?
that would compensate the AC lost + 20 more hp points
+9 fp parts are pretty hard to find and they r pretty expensive also, not worth loosing chitin and fp set and coins i think...Just calculated with KODB, 15 points into HP is not worth losing 103 AC

ya, then it is pretty obvious, Chitin Set + 8 over FP set + 8
chitin +8, it will give u more resist, more mana, and more ac, u may lose a few points of hp, but with ur items u will be fine

I've had pretty much those exact items on a level 78 priest. With chitins you'll have 136+ resist to all...that's freagin nice. (Depending on if you use valk hp/ac...and if you use pathos gloves) you'll have 8k hp and 1400 ac. <more or less
That's really freagin nice, it's extremely hard to kill.
i know i know, i was support at lvl 80 with chitins, i had 8k+ hp, 1450ac with CS, IN, IB, and resssists all over 140+1

I would use chitin for sure. Would need fp+9 to consider using fp instead of chitins.
lvl 80 FP Build Support Priest;
10k+ hp (with sc. 8k+) 15xx def. resists over 130.

Chitin 8 all the way, even though I didn't own the character, I once played a character similar to yours and tried both builds. Chitin's better
chitin +8 > fp +8
you cant really compare the two... once costs 10x cheaper then the other? :/
A closer comparision would be fp +9 and chitins +8, but seeing how you said its hard to find and you dont wanna buy em, then definately the chitins +8
