Gearing a fire / ice mage

Got about 35 gbs max to spend

The mage is currently going to rlb.
Stats : 160 int , rest in mp

I already got:

EP
Dual roms+0
light belt of life

These are from my priest, but can be sold if needed.


So what should I buy for staff / armors / uniques?


Server I play on is C-west

The only mage I would use Rom's with is Ice... and even then i'd prefer shio's or rols. But for fire mage u need flame rings for sure.... Highest + you can get.
If you going 160 int... complete build, in diez I would never go complete under 70. But as it's c-west and there are no rare weapon defences u have no other choice I think.

DD is a must, but u figured that out already I think.

I have no clue bout cwest economy but your goal should be something like (considering u only got 35 gb):

Dual fr +1 ( if coins left try go higher +)
glassbelt
completes +7 (I prefer crystal +8 and 144 int in older servers for ardream/rlb + rare dd)
Crimson 15 dd
EP +1
Crystal goblin pads (complete very expensive), same hp as +8 piece, little lower ac but 16 resist to all. Don't wear them 24/7, only when you fighting some mages. It helps
for earrings i'd go for wse as first choice, BE second choice. RLB fire mages don't have the high mana of a lvl 80 mage, so the int bonus comes in handy. The wse has same ac as the sse + it's way cheaper. Be has more hp, but 10 less ac, and no int bonus. But as you use completes +7 the 20 extra ac from the wse's are very helpful.

If coins left for valks i'd go full def... plenty of people prefer hp/ac mix... but mage damage in rlb is pretty low compared too melee dmg. In ardream i had 1.1K ac and rogues only spiked me 350-400, my hp was only 3.3K but didn't need more cause of my high ac...


I would keep the light belt of life for undy/when you decide to vs a mage. Or you could sell it and buy a ice/fire/light belt + quest belt. Depends whats cheaper on your server.

yes on fire you need hit hard

so go flame ring the highest than possible

for rest liek earing you can buy old sse or lkp ( on cwest not so many mage so dont really need elemental resist )

on staff use a scorching cause he got dd and that helpfull on cwest where is fll rogue

u need a defs belt or u gonna get ran over easy by anyone with decent ap
