I used to go around lufferson and find koxpers then use poison arrows on Centaurs and tear them a new one

I read that explosive shot and other fire related arrows always deal the same dmg no matter what, similar to a priest's Critical Light.

If poison arrow sucks that bad I wonder why some archers on my server (DCZ btw) use it in vs. First they use thier poison arrows on me for some dot adn then try to shower me. They all were rather weak opponents so I wonder if its worth to use it as dot if you are well geared?!?

Smart archers have used poison to waste cure time. I have done it to other members in party fights to get the priest to cure him In a 1v1 perhaps he was hoping you would panic and cure yourself, otherwise you are correct, its pretty useless in PvP.
