Based on what.

You get partial bonuses for partial set. You get bonuses for any 2 pieces or more of armour, bonuses vary depending on which piece you have.

if i see these stats compared i would definately go with the mix build, 400 hp and 350 mana is rlly nice

But...if you were to sell the Dragon Scale and get Better uniques.... after you buy the shell+8.. I mean, the Dragon armore exc. has got to be at least 4gb more in your server right?

If you used the extra 12gb to get a better unique, that could possibly close the gap in the difference between the shells and the Mix.

You honestly need a full +7 set. When you have one the +15 STR bonus gives +3 STR to each piece so you have the same STR bonus as a +8 Set. Plus you get more Hp, mana, and res. Mixing ain't good unless the pieces are all +8.

You can always get the 2 pieces u need to complete the set, and in that moment ofc the Ex dragon set is gonna be way better than the shell +8 set
