Was there ever a time that they did help? Because i know of 2 rogues that used FR +2 + ROL +2 for his personal, and another used a Shio +0 + ROL +0 because he had sherion.. Or was it always just a myth?

I dont think so, it was just a myth and it only works for mages, just like ´shard 8 is way better then cleaver 9´, myths like that.
