Anyone use Hamachi to play dota?

I've been meaning to ask, what is Hamachi?

its a program which opens a sort of..'private' server for people to play games online if u wanna play with ppl without the original version.

eg:
i've got a burnt copy of wc3 or cs and i can use hamachi to set up a server to play with others.

i got 10mbit/s upload speed and good comp , when i hosted on and some portu + spanish friends came in they had freeze lag all the time :X and delay

hamachi isnt meant to be used across the world, they have GGC for that

hamachi = within the same country

hamachi is fucking piece of shit program. i dont understand why ppl bother using it when theres much better programs available, such as ggc. only good thing i see in hamachi is that pings are pretty low so not much of a delay, but anyway theres always better options (ggc).
