No point playing an ap caster anymore.
On top of the AD caster / bruiser mid problem, now thanks to IEM, a new trend has appeared: Buy warmogs on everyone. From support to ADC.
DPS classes, and even supports can remain useful the longer they're alive so HP stacking works for them, while in burst casters case... not so much. Use your spell rotation and then proceed to be a sitting duck.
Shame, it was my favorite role too. I love S3!

Obviously I do. But I don't see a problem with ad bruisers mid.
Metas come, metas go, I think that ap mids will become more effective if the Plate of the Warmage hits the liveservers.
If not, just ban out kha'zix until they manage to figure something out, (because really, kha'zix is the main problem when it comes to "AD" champions in the mid lane) remember this is preseason so it's fine for them to make these changes now, instead of doing so later on.

edit: Obviously Warmogs is an issue in it's current state and need to be rethinked.
I can't even burst their adc... feels bad man.
Riot will take ages before they fix anything lol, I'll just do arams for now
