BTW according to the rules for ares section, it's not against the rules to "buy" items past +8.

"+2 items and lower are allowed to be sold once again. ANY item.

+3 and above +9 or higher items are NOT allowed to be sold.

Any +3 item under and including WP +3 in price are allowed to be sold. (kek ring, EP, PP, and all the minor uniques)
However, no IN, rol, roc, rom, or defense belts (except for bronze) or any item priced higher at +3 than a WP as mentioned above.

+9 FP, chitin, cleavers, glaves, and lower class items +9 are allowed to be sold, however shell, shards, raptors, II, etc are not allowed to be sold past +8.
