As for the patch 1883 (USKO) Knight Online changes theire policy:


K2 Network/GamersFirst will be shareing certain of it's information reguarding players of Knight OnLine with it's partners at Mgame Corporation (which co-developed the Game with NoahSystem and ccurrently operates the Game in Korea) for the purpose of operating the Knight OnLine game. This information includes username and encrypted for of password, gamedatabases, character information, and, upon obtaining your consent, your email address. As of 11/02/2011, the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy for the Game are being updated to reflect this, and you will have the opportunity to agree to theese updates and consent to the shareing of your email address the first time you log into the Game after this update.


I do find very hillarious that they need to share the Personal information as password and email adresses. Especially since the encodeing they use is cracked.

Is it just me or do they have time to literally alter anything but the numerous bugs?

Database should only save password hashes (I HOPE!) so it`s more likely these hashes leaked but not the passwords themselves. maybe cheating in one KO makes you get banned in any other KO as well (with static ip that is). Now that would be an improvement.

MGame is asking for character information so that they can restore chars on new servers possibly not run by K2.

Them cant improve usko cause there is somethinc wich cant be improved and that is +10 weapons,krowaz,chaos weapons,+3-4 accesories and much more

It will allow mgames to see which regions are currently using K2 service , and allow them to understand the types of chars , levels and equipment level. This ultimately will mean mgame can do more to the game to improve things for USKO user base ( if they want to ).

With the security side of things , they can look at strengths and weakness that k2 have and in the future build on the good points while weaning out the bad.

Ultimately it seems mgames has had enough of the poor standards K2 operates and is working out how to address this , or K2 have asked for more direct support , because of the lose of euro based players possibly migrating to the new EUKO.

Bah, the vast majority of USKO players are Turks. Even if every single non-Turk player left for EUKO, they'd barely notice it (minus C-W).

I don`t think so but actually they could offer creating "your existing usko char / level (not items possibly to keep game balanced a bit)" for something alike the money bought chars usually go for.
