    Greetings Knights!

We've recently been testing a patch from the developer. Unfortunately it did not pass QA by today's maintenance time and so has not been applied. The target date for application is Thursday, or at the very latest Tuesday of next week. In it are a couple of long awaited fixes that I won't go into detail about until it's been applied.

This does not mean nothing exciting happened with today's patch!

This maintenance marks our flipping the switch on our new anti-cheating monitoring service on the server. This system will be collecting and aggregating information about cheaters in the background, but it will not be banning immediately. For those in the know, this is the first stage as we seriously begin to clamp down on cheating. At the moment it will simply locate the cheaters (by the thousands) according to the first instance of illegal behavior, and output those names to a database viewable by the Knight Online team. We'll sift through the data, prove it out, and make sure that there aren't huge numbers of false positives. The best part is even once we've gone through it we'll still have the list that we can flip and ban them all [/b]
    In case you're interested.

would be nice if its works, because if not you can sure
that the lvling spots on the new server will be full of koxpers which will only lvl the account to sell it for USD/YTL

SAYING that you are GOING to do something is a lot different than actually DOING it.

Until we actually see a change, I just consider these announcements propoganda.

You guys have to think of the bigger picture here... in this shit economy, perhaps k2 is trying to attract investors, in order to do so, they have to prove that they have a quality product worth investing in - and this forces them to make these types of "anti-cheating monitoring service" active.

When k2 says things like "long-awaited fixes", by their own admission they are admitting that their product is full of problems.

When k2 says things like "flip the switch" and "begin to clamp down on cheating", by their own admission they are just now claiming to take action against cheating.

It's interesting to me that they call this a "monitoring service" and claim that they will "output those names to a database viewable by the Knight Online team". It is the RARE case that k2 CS has EVER taken a personal look at any CS issue. Now, they want you to believe the claim that they will have an actual person review THOUSANDS of cases / names on an individual basis - lol!

I think every once in a while k2 has to dangle the carrot in front of their customer's eyes.. "things will get better", "we are working on fixing the issue", "it is a known issue to be resolved at later date" - how many times have we heard the SAME SHIT over and over - lol - those of us who have been around for a while know this to be true and have heard it all before.

So I urge you to step back, stop giving k2 the benefit of the doubt - believe in what they are DOING instead of what they are SELLING - take a look at this company as a paying customer, not just a player.

You know, of course I could be wrong and on "Thursday or at the very least Tuesday of next week" all cheaters/buggers/dupers/macroers/hackers/illegal items/injectors/corrupt GMs will be fixed.

    xD my friends, xD
