sometimes when someone started a funny thing it lose the funny part when many people start doing the same thing, this case is the same, but you can always highlight the link with your mouse and see before you click.

there isn't a benefit really i don't think.. all i know is that psycho and i were talking on vent one time about profile views, and we both made offtopic topics with links to our profiles telling people to click it, just to see who was "cooler." started off as a joke, then i moved it to my profile to beat him, and now look what happened. -_- i guess ppl started doing it, too, cuz i was getting too many profile views for it to be "fair," but i started it as a joke with psy, not to create an attention whorish society =\
