Fraps| First time frapsing.. I got couple of questions.

Hey guys,

Any ways Iv'e started frapsing.. and I can't understand how you guys do it.

a 15 seconds movie, weights 1gb!!, I know its shrinks while you are editing it, but still...

Lets say I'm pking for an hour, and I want to fraps it all, My computer will probably explode by the time im finishing ><"

And I dont want to lower the resolution... the whole point is filming a good quality video.

So... how do you do it?


Another question, while uploading to Youtube, I can choose if there will be a possiblity of 720hd, 1080hd.... ? or Youtube find the movie resolution and does that on his own?

its sometime when i frapsed somethin, but as far as i remember i have used always windows movie maker. you can upload your movies straight into youtube there, with very good compression ratio. ofc with 480/720/1080 quality. so in the end you uploading some reasonable file sizes.

Fraps records real time, it simply has no time to compress the video, hence the big size. There's no way to make it smaller

Than Ill ask it like that, How you are doing it?? lets say you pk for 1 hour, you just fraps the whole hour ??

Pretty much. Of course you can stop recording while you're running back to bowl or when you're searching for enemies.

you need to use video software to compress the movie... there are alot our there and i think the cheapest is windows movie maker..

personally i use sony vegas video.. (easy to find a crached version)
