Here's a solution that's worked out for me (im on pathos)
If you get the connect pls wait window just log on to Server 2 instead (which should usually work)
then just press Back when ur in char select and then you can log onto server1, you just have to wait a bit

I got that problem yesterday when I was looking for bosses on eslant. I tought was my internet conexion.. but always is k.o xD :P .. dammm if u got that problem I guess u have to wait more than 30 mint.. I was 15 mint mint trying, but I get bored so I went to sleep.
Yup im getting same, usually same time daily now...back up and back in usually 1-2 hours later
