Archer or Sin? (in a 2 ppl combo)

Thinking of making a rogue on Piana, not sure yet of what class, though... so what's better in terms of:

- Damage (because i was using a couple of basic skills from both classes, and archers seem kinda weak... maybe its cuz of my weapon? it was just like a bow +1, but then again, my daggers were just as bad...)

-PK Potential

-Ease of EXP (finding parties, etc.)

-Amount of gbs needed to do well (low, med, high, or certain amount, maybe)

-Overall play and experience

Damage: Tricky question. Archers do huge damage with Arrow Shower, especially to mobs. When it comes to PK, damage is not as high because opponents can avoid getting showered by S combo or sliding and range attack skills are quite weak. Plus, AS combo is no longer effective. Still, you got Styx and other useful skills not to completely suck.
EXP: You will more probably get some exp party as an archer since many exp spots are infested by genie/koxp archer parties. It's also more comfortable - sins don't have any spamable skills.
Cost: Archers are one of the most expensive class in KO (if not the most) while you can have fun as a sin even with basic gear. Don't bother going PK with average bow.
Overall: Got skills? Go Sin. Got money (and skills)? Go Archer.

ah really? cuz ill be on piana, and people said that craaaazy gear isnt really required there? :/
were gunna be duoing together, so is there a specific class thats better with duo? i hear duo archer is pretty good, but if it requires a lot of baba that'll be a problem for me

You really don't need crazy items there. But as an archer you gonna need something better than IB+7 which is the best bow you will probably be able to afford. Anyone in quest armor or chitins +7 easily outheals your damage. Anyways, you better ask some archer that actually PKs there...

Archers in a duo are worthless and outclassed in every single way by a duo of sins.

Even duo sins would be better than archer + sin. Sins are just op with that burst damage.

New server with a Archer u would be just fine .. just get some high dex dont worry too much about defense as u can run away and town if u enconter someone with alot of defense ....

Its a lot easier to exp with 2 archers since they dont have to use skills because of their long range. And as destiny said genie pretty changed the leveling mechanics.

That's what I was getting at, why not just sin genie in a better party?

And I still don't agree with the "just because ntt doesn't do shit about it we can hack" fad going around.

Ya nigga but sins genie last time I played worked better than archer one, I don't even remember if archers would even use AS in exp with it. Dunno nothin bout nuffin.

I would do sin and archer combination, this way if your going to duo, no one could run away from your attacks; you both hit up close at first and if he survives and tries to run, the archer shoots him down regardless if its priest, warrior or rouge. Cause if you both go sin and try to kill another sin who runs all the time, you'll have a hard time catching him.
