banned from game while merchant

so many people been banned for being merchant,
i would like people to putt details here about it since we can not on main forums
i have a dell laptop using vista home premium edition
and macafee antivirus / firewall
i was in luferson merchant on 2 diffrent computers at the same time
both computers on the same network using 0 cheats.

desribe your issue and details here if u can to find out what could be causing this.

Yes banned for merching

compaq desktop pc newly installed only with KO as it is crap

was playing on other better pc which was also banned.

I just get the apr thingy 3rd pty tool detected and boom banned >.<

if it matters, im using windows xp and a internetshield from my internet provider. Don't think its the players fault tough, as we all have learnt its just K2 or Mgame to blame...

it has been mentioned on officials forums as well on unofficials and on this forum.

Do not use Macafee as antivirus, cause it gets detected as 3th party tool by Knight online
and will cause you to get a ban.

Ps: there are a couple more anti-virusses that get detected to as 3th party tool
(can't remember which ones, so just be save)

Edit: got more anti virusses that get detected:

• Macafee Antivirus
• AVG
• Comodi Inc

Don't use any of the previous listed scanners ! or you can risk a ban !

Me too banned while merching. KO is going downhill, K2 sux and its probably a 48 hour ban [despite saying 24 hour]...

Yeah its Macafee thing, doesn't always get detected by the chances are high, usually when it auto updates or runs a scan, basically when theres activity detected.

K2 is just thinking ahead, ban the players BEFORE they cheat.
No but really, k2 cant even program a simple anti cheat correctly..

k2 has a built in anti cheat search engine that watches ur processes, which can conflict with certain antivirus and programs of that kind, which can block KO's searcher thing acess to files and get suspicious, then u get TPT ^^ awesome stuff, k2 is amazing.. ofc this is just random =/ happened to me before guys

Another possible idea is that the anticheat system checks for processes that are interacting with the knightonline process itself, if you open a process named koxp.exe it's not likely that you will get banned, unless k2 is using an anti cheat similar to most private servers.
Most antiviruses are scanning all the processes in the list time by time to check if they are safe, and thats when the k2 anticheat detects that something is running with the knightonline.exe process, and then bans.

If your using an antivirus you should try to list knightonline.exe as a safe process, and that will hopefully prevent the antivirus from scanning the process.
if that doesnt work, try looking for a safe mode in the anti virus, which might prevent the anticheat from detecting the anti virus.

Yesterday my 48h ban was finally gone. Got none of those firewalls running nor do I have programs called koxp. At the end of the day, tired I thought it might be a little bit safer to merch with my warrior....

Well today I wake up with a fresh 48h ban. THANKS K2
