When you create new account you are asked to verify your account through your email. Account will still work without verifying but bronze prem wont. so u can save ur prem for a weekend where u might not be able to get into servers or when ur gonna be playing a lot so u want exp increase, when you might wanna start ur acc on a monday.

You need better prem than that 3 days. I tried it and didn't work.

You used to get server undergoing maintaince until verifying email.

If they changed the behaviour it'll get fixed when they notice.
