Basically, its a download manager that is able to resume broken downloads, should the link be taken offline, your internet crashes etc.

anyway, u can also split the download so it will download 2 or more parts of the download at the same time which kinda makes it faster.

In your case then, i'd be more worried about K2's ftp crashing. Just think how many people will be all downloading from the same server... lol.

Actually sometimes when downloading big files you miss a kb or two and it currupts your download that wont happen with a download manager
